This wonderful detached home has been painstakingly restored and modernised to a very high standard by the current owners. They have created a stylish and contemporary home that flows beautifully and offers flexible accommodation to suit various family uses. They have captured the beachside vision with a clever use of light and décor but also instilled a cosy feeling into this truly remarkable home. The current layout consists of an entrance hall, lounge with a wood burner, a magnificent kitchen/dining room and two sliding panes creating an open feel to the garden. Completing the downstairs is a bedroom with patio doors to a porcelain paved seating area, bathroom and fitted wardrobe (this area can be locked off from the main house). Upstairs there are two further very generous bedrooms both with plenty of fitted wardrobe space, a sleek shower room and an impressive sitting area on the landing with patio doors to the balcony. The ideal place to watch the sunset inside or out.
Outside
To the front there is a breathtaking balcony accessed from three sets of patio doors, front garden, off street parking for multiple cars, access to the garage and a private front garden for the downstairs bedroom (ideal should you decide to let this out on short term or holiday lets). At the rear, there is a beautiful lawned garden with an easterly aspect and patio, the garden is spacious and bordered by a horse field offering alternative views to enjoy on a warm summer's evening whilst dining alfresco. A vegetable plot, garden tool/wood shed and greenhouse complete the rear garden. Access door to the garage/workshop.
Location
Sand Bay beach and promenade are a few steps away, the local café/bistro is about 200 metres from the house and with a restaurant 500 metres away, you are never short of a walk, a coffee or a meal. Not only are there plenty of coastal walks to be had but also Worlebury Woods are very attractive. The National Trust Nature reserve 'Sand point' is at the end of Beach Road, a natural pier into the Bristol Channel, full of wildlife with further secluded pebble beaches to explore. With the village ‘Pink Shop’ for newspapers and provisions, a pub, hotel, tearoom (seasonal), fish and chip shop, café/bistro and not forgetting the active ‘Village Hall’ the village has a great community feel. There are several supermarkets at around 4.8km away and the M5 motorway junction is a 5.9km drive
We think...
This is a genuinely rare opportunity to purchase an immaculate beachside property with a homely feel, holiday everyday! The owners have created the opportunity to create an income from the boutique downstairs bedroom with its own bathroom, outside space, private access and lockable door that separates it from the main house.
Vendor Says…..
We have loved living in Sand Bay, the village community vibe is amazing, we have attended many parish events, all of which have been outstanding and a credit to the volunteers on the committee. The walks here are fabulous, as is collecting beach ‘treasure’ or hearing the Oyster Catchers at low tide. But the sunsets in ‘Sandbaydos’ are amazing and I will never tire of spending time in our snuglet gazing at them, or sitting with a coffee people watching …… or lying in bed with the doors open in the bedroom to hear the sea!
