Local Charity: Heart of BS13 at Hartclife City Farm
Located at Hartcliffe City farm you'll find, a sustainable flower farm which is part of the Heart of BS13 charity programme. Our marketing team spoke to Kirsite, Sol and Jodie and learnt more about what the Heart of BS13 team does to help the community, read on to hear their story.
Work done through the climate action programme aims to make BS13 a better place to live through climate action. The priorities include reducing BS13’s carbon emissions, green education, training and work opportunities.
The team on the farm grow stunning flowers that they sell to Bristol businesses and residents, as well as run workshops, offer volunteer and trainee placements, and create education opportunities for the BS13 community.
In BS13, 1 in 8 households are struggling financially and unable to afford the food they need. Heart of BS13’s Kitchen was set up to address food insecurity in BS13 – both immediate, through our Community Freezer, and long term, through various projects such as our Slow Cooker Club and Mobile Food Shop
